AFAQ

The abrasives used for the manufacture of traditional grindstones are all artificial, that is man made. Aluminium oxide (artificial corundum) and silicon carbides are normally used.

Minerals used for the production of flexible abrasives are chosen for their durability, tenacity, heat resistance, their fracture characteristics and grain form.

Super abrasives is the term normally used to indicate diamonds and the CBN (Borazon).Diamonds are used for working hard metals, glass and ceramics. The CBN is used to glaze steel for tools, steel for moulds or stamps and /or highly alloyed, stainless steel.

The range of Norton diamond dressers enable us to resolve the greater part of dressing problems: from grinding to production with cylindrical grindstones or profiles. Please contact us for suggestions.
